I applied and within a day was contacted about screening questions, 2 days later got a call from the hiring manager to schedule an interview, had an interview 3 days after that, and then moved to the next round a week later. I passed that and was asked to fly into headquarters to meet with the executive team. My references were called the Monday after, but then I was declined due to lack of experience. This was absolutely one of my worst interview experiences because of the amount of time invested. I collectively, with travel, spent over 48 hours and almost 4 weeks on this role. I spent at least 15 hours alone talking to people about my experience. My references wasted their time talking to people. You can absolutely determine appropriate experience for a role prior to spending 4 weeks talking to a candidate. Spencer's confirmed that I will not tolerate an organization in the future where I have to interview with 8+ plus people and I absolutely cannot recommend them as an organization to other colleagues. Please take this as constructive feedback and do better for your future candidates. Streamline your interview process, remove unnecessary executive interviews, condense/remove the amount of hands involved, and capitalize on the lease amount of time to get the information you need. You're being paid to interview me, but I am not! I'm still waiting to be reimbursed for airport parking fees.
