After successfully completing the home assignment, I was invited for two interviews at their offices in Tel Aviv.
The first interview was with the manager.
It was more a simulation of a professional meeting than the real interview but it was nice.
HR was a completely different story..
There were two HR recruiters.
They were rude, unpleasant, conceited and treated me negatively as if they came to the interview full of prejudices against me.
They failed to create a positive interviewing experience with the attitude “we shall bombard you with questions which will be in the format of short commands asked in the aggressive tone because you need us, rather than we need you”
It was the combination of the Israeli hutzpah, incredible arrogance and dismissive attitude, the kind that sends the message: “you do not satisfy the requirements of our supreme superiority”
Honestly, after that, I pretty much lost the desire to work at the company.
Israel is not always an easy country, but one expects more from hi-tech places.
Looking at the 57% negative interviewing experience feedback, I am not surprised at all.
My only question is why they do not learn from their mistakes and keep employing such people
