Worst candidate experience I have ever had. The recruiter bailed on the first screening we had and only reached out to me after I reached out asking if we were still on. Then, I go weeks without hearing anything before finally being invited to come meet the team in person. After meeting with the team, ( which happened to be very enjoyable and pleasant) there was complete radio silence on Spotify's end. I did not end up getting the job, but there needs to be communication throughout the interview process. Being ghosted by recruiters is far to common and totally unfair. People go out of their way to make time for phone screens and in person interviews and spotify recruiters should do the decent thing and keep the candidate "warm" while the team is making decisions. 1. this keeps the candidate from becoming disinterested 2. it creates a pleasant candidate experience and 3. its the right thing to do.
