The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Spotify
Interview
First I applyed for obe possition, after a month on Spotify talent acquisition site it was still marked as new. I've applyed for cople more positions. After couple of weeks I got contacted and scheduled first interview with premium team manager by hangouts. Very nice and smart person. Interview was basic telling about yourself and hearing about company.
Next hr contacted me, and it seemed that hr didn't know what position to put me for, and it all sounded like a mess. I've got a technical interview, which was simple. After that I haven't heard from Spotify for 4 weeks. I tryed to contact hiring person, which was on vacation. Out of office message suggested to write to an email, which was supposed to be a hiring group email, but I got answer that that email exists no more.
Have got a good offer at other company in a while, so had to stop process with Spotify as they are unreachable.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
create a loop writing one string in one case, and another in other case.
simple sql soring exercise.
Given some data what analysis would I suggest to do.
4 rounds process, incl. take-home case. Interviews were relatively straightforward with HR, Hiring manager, and Directors in the team. Mix of behavioral and technical questions. Take-home case was quite time consuming but very relevant for the role (recieve data set with a case question - expected to build a financial model and short presentation deck)
Interview was with HR. A very unpleasant experience: 1) The Interviewer was late and no apology was given. 2) No pleasantries or how are you, just straight into the robotic questioning. 3) HR said that if I had any questions I should email, I had to ask if I could ask questions during the call. Worst interview experience I have had. The HR interviewer shouldn't be vetting candidates as it gives a bad impression of Spotify.
Interview was okay, interviewers were patient and friendly and they took the effort to learn more about the candidate by asking the right questions. Not many stressful questions were asked.
