I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Spotify (Stockholm, Stockholm) in Sep 2017
Interview
After applying I received a call from the HR. Next, I had a technical screening and an interview with the hiring manager. Then I received a task and had to present my findings. Some more discussions/interviews with the team, researchers and a product manager.
Overall, everything happened fast and the TA partner was responsive and helpful. Really smooth process especially considering the amount of applications they receive and the number of open positions they have!
It had 3 rounds of interviews with the final interview with data science manager. Mostly were technical questions and the final one being mostly high level project questions along with product data science related metrics type scenarios

Product related metrics scenarios, it is consistent with most companies with product data science teams
Fairly standard, recruiter screen, take home assignment with a presentation and analysis then final round with a presentation of your take home to an audience (virtual due to the pandemic). I had a follow up afterwards with the hiring manager as well.
Initial HR Screen followed by call with Hiring Manager. I failed out after the hiring manager call. HR was at least nice enough to get back to me soon after to let me know they were moving forward with other candidates.
