I went through a very frustrating, confusing, and inefficient process. Had a phone screen with the recruiter where she asked me about my desired salary. After the initial conversation, we kept going back and forth between the salary expectations which I thought was way too early to discuss. After 3 weeks, I was finally scheduled a call with the hiring manager which he ended up canceling 30 minutes before the meeting time. A week later, the recruiter informed me that the team is reviewing the job scope of the role and that the process has been put on hold. I then reached out to the hiring manager wanting to learn more about the new job scope and managed get a call with him. The next step was for the recruiter to send me the updated job description which I never received despite following up with the hiring manager and the recruiter. Couple of days after the call, the recruiter finally informed me that they were concerned the role might be too junior for me and decided not to move forward with me.
