Applied Jan 7th, was contacted by HR for a phone screen Jan 19. Set up phone screen for Jan 25. HR needed to reschedule phone screen for Jan 27. Finally spoke with internal recruiter- she asked me about my background and if I had ever done some of the things listed on the job description. However, I was not told that this was a newly created position and that they didn't actually have specific responsibilities for this role until my in person interview Feb 5. In person interview was casual, but interviewer did not seem very excited or interested in me or to be in the interview. I asked if he had any concerns about my fit for the role...the answer was no. I asked about next steps and was told I should here back the next week, mid-week. Followed up Feb 15 about a decision. Finally heard back yesterday (Sunday) Feb 21 that they decided to move forward with another candidate. Not really given any concrete reason as to why. Frustrating timing and frustrating HR experience.
