I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Spotify (London, England) in Sep 2024
Interview
Unorganized and unprofessional. I understand this was for a contractual role and perhaps different to a traditional interview path but the process was very frustrating. After I initially spoke to the recruiter (external) about my experience, he was told that I was turned down to move forward (we both agreed that it was a little odd since I had big overlaps with the role). They then reversed their decision and moved me forward. Next was to create a mock presentation (~8 hrs of my time) and present it to the hiring team through Teams. Not only was the presentation time consuming, they did not review my presentation at all before the final call. It was also frustrating on the call as one of the interviews had to turn off her camera and could not answer questions due to her children yelling in the background. The questions that were asked were all repetitive and directly answered in the final "review questions" in the presentation that I sent along. They also seemed to be confused about the overarching goal of the presentation and the facts within (make Spotify look good and drive ad revenue), as they were curious to what I would do if the campaign was unsuccessful, which this mock campaign clearly was; I had convinced them this was a successful campaign.
After the entire process and the "no", I asked for feedback, which I never received
