Spring Arbor University Alumni Relations Coordinator interview questions

Applied online, contacted a few weeks later for a phone interview. Interview was very pleasant but interviewer called me weeks later just to inform me they gave the position to someone else. I thought that was strange and a lot more hurtful than just sending a rejection email.
