The panel interview was disorganized, with an ask for you to build recommendations specific to their business (after a take home) and then share materials with the team. However when it came to the actual case study interview it was loose brainstorming widely unrelated to the takehome project and presentation, without clear vision or guidance. This gives the overall interview an unsettling feeling - at worst, that they're just looking to mine ideas, and at best, that the team did not prepare for how to best run interviews to assess for the skills they're looking for.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sprinter Health
Interview
This was a typical PM interview process consisting of the following rounds:
- Recruiting screen
- Hiring Manager Behavioral Screen
- Peer Interviews (Behavioral)
- Take-home case assignment and presentation.
Ultimately, my feeling and perspective as a candidate was that they were unable to explain to me who they were looking for during the process, and did not know what to ask me to figure out if I was the right candidate. Despite the sense that they were signaling that I was a strong fit, they ultimately decided to move in a different direction despite my feeling that we had not discussed and covered the area that they were concerned about / were prioritizing during our calls.
It didn't feel as though my time and effort were being respected. Despite letting them know that I was on a tight timeline, I felt the team took a while to get back to me to schedule additional conversations and to get an answer on my candidacy. Ultimately, I ended up feeling disappointed.
