I applied online. I interviewed at Square in Apr 2022
Interview
A call with the recruiter who told me that she just joined two months ago so she's relatively new.
I asked about the scope of the role and the problems they were facing and she struggled hard to answer me. She quickly read through the list from the website which was vague.
But the funniest was her asking me repeated questions through her list without actually listening, I know that because she was literally asking me questions that I've already answered.
Example would be when I was telling her about how I collaborate with major stakeholders and how I solve complex question with technical steps and her asking me this question after what I said. "Can you describe how you solve complex problems?"
Or me telling her that I'm the sole designer in my company and her asking me later "so how many designers are in your team?" (I wanted to laugh out loud)
Such a pity for this company, would have probably been a better experience if they had a more experience recruiter who knows what she/he is doing.
Too many red flags so I skipped this one out.
