Interview
Interview process took 2 months. I completed all 4 interviews in the process. After my last interview I never heard back from the recruiter for 3 weeks even after a couple of follow ups. Finally received a generic/automated email from square that they are moving forward with other candidates. Considering I gave my 2 months to this it was disappointing to see that they didn't even care to give a feedback.

4 rounds 1. Recruiter - 30 mins (behavioral) 2. Hiring Manager - 30 mins (experience + how would you solve a particular problem/what kind of data will you look at to address a particular task) 3. Technical Round 1 hour: Analytical Assessment (consulting case) + SQL (Easy to Medium) 4. Panel Interview for 2 hours with 4 interviewers - 30 mins each (behavioral) One of the interviewers in the panel did not smile at all. They kept asking me questions in an abrupt manner as their next question immediately followed my previous answer. Another interviewer in the panel kept making fun at how my current company is 20 years behind with some data processes. Hiring manager was friendly and seemed positive about me joining Square. She told me that the recruiter will get back to me but I never heard back from the recruiter and instead received a generic reject from Square 3 weeks after the interview. This was a poorly handled interview process. Dodged a bullet!

Interview
1st Round: Phone call overviewing the position, company, and your own goals. Very easy conversation about what Square is looking for, and what your goals are as well with the position.
2nd Round: A technical review of SQL, where they asked questions, and you had to write out the query being requested. Then after the technical review, I had a call with the head of the team and discussed the role, future goals for the team and myself, etc.
