Awful interview process. I applied in October and the next day received a phone screening. Right after the phone screening, I received a request to meet the hiring manager. 3 weeks after meeting with the Hiring Manager, I had not heard anything and messaged the recruiter who stated someone had been offered the role. One week later they said it was declined and they wanted me to come back for panel interviews in mid-November. I met with four different employees and then made it to the final round meeting with the hiring manager and the head of HR all in one week as they wanted to "move quickly". A week later I was offered the job and they wanted me to start right away. I said I was unable to start right away and wanted to give my job 2 weeks notice. They sat on the start date offer for 2 whole weeks to then tell me "it is determined we cannot move forward with a January start date. It does not support the needs of the business during the busiest season" and to my question if the offer still stands, replied with "It is withdrawn". If was was truly the busiest season, I am wondering why the interview process took so long and the offer start date was not negotiable.
