I applied online. I interviewed at Square (Dublin, OH) in Jan 2022
Interview
Initial discussion with HR to discuss why I wanted to join the company and what the company meant to me. This was followed by 4 competency’s based interviews with key stakeholders across the business. The people I met were friendly and engaging, but unfortunately was not offered the role

Question 1
Walk me through the most complex technical project that you've been a part of?
Recruiter screen, then hiring manager conversation, then four rounds with cross functional team members, finishing with a final presentation. Went thru the entire process, recruiter rejected me with an email.
The good:
- Clear communication, friendly and supportive recruiter.
The weird:
- I am a seasoned PM with 8+ years of exp. working for a Fortune 100 company already. I wanted to move from my current city to Dublin so applied for the role at Square.
- There were 5 interviews, one with each i.e. Hiring manager, Sr. PM, UX, Eng, and a Data analysis-focused PM.
- Bar the Hiring Manager interview , all the others were very theoretical, something you do with a new PM (1-3 years exp). Exactly what you see in PM interview videos on YouTube.
- After each round, I was told that I did great and made it out of that round (the Sr. PM interviewing even told me that if it was up to them, they would hire me on the spot).
- After the final (data PM) interview round, I was told I didn't get selected as I didn't use proper "Frameworks" while giving my answers for the PM and Data interviews.
- Was a bit surprised. Wasn't sure if they were looking for a PM to get actual work done or create a PM training course.
