Stamps.com Product Manager interview questions

1. Case study before any call (waste of time they don't even go over it with you, just to see if you have any idea how product management works I suppose) 2. Call with someone on the team asking about a product you use and how you would improve it w/ bunch of product questions 3. Another panel interview w/ more members of the team on a case study (no prep) and how to use APIs to build the case (don't understand why as a product lead I have to tell the developers what parameters an API can take in and output) 4. Another call with Director of PM; enjoyed this call another case study/brain teaser questions 5. Call with VP cultural fit As you can see, multiple rounds and multiple case studies for a company that sells stamps and online postage. My interviews at other FAANG companies were less work than this.

This company will ask you to do free work in the form of a case study before you are given the opportunity to speak with anyone. Before you "prove yourself" by doing free work for a company, you should be given the opportunity to learn more about the role, the company itself, the company culture, the people etc. An interview is a two way process; you want to be sure they are as good a fit for you as you are for them. Do not waste your time and effort on a project before you have any actual idea that they are a place you'd want to work.
