The interview process was unnecessarily lengthy and overly thorough. There's a recruiter conversation, an interview with a hiring manager, 3-4 :30 min interviews with other people in the org who you likely will never even work directly with, then another interview with the hiring manager / department head which is the final. They ask you so many "tell me about a time when" questions (behavioral) and also definitely seem to want to get a sense of where you stand politically in a way that's not obvious. The org gave me "boys club" vibes as almost every person I spoke to, came from within other departments at the same company and were just shuffled around for years... Like people who were on the policy side of things, now working on events. I made it all the way to the final interview and then was completely ghosted. It's one thing to not offer feedback but another to straight up never even respond to the candidate with an update, especially after they literally carved out HOURS of their time for the extensive interview process. They are all nice and helpful until they decide you're not the one. Honestly, incredibly disrespectful and a bad look for any organization. I wouldn't waste your time!
