Thank you for sharing your feedback. There seems to be a misunderstanding around our employee programs and benefits, so we would encourage you to reach out to us at careers@standtogether.org so we can clarify the miscommunication.
To address your comments, I wanted to share a few thoughts on our unique culture and approach to empowering people. As an employer, we value the unique skills and attributes of every employee. As a community, we value the unique skills and attributes of every individual. It may sound corny, but it is the essence of our mission as a philanthropic community; it's who we are. In each of our organizations, we focus on removing obstacles that inhibit individuals from being appreciated for their unique perspectives, skills, backgrounds, and offerings. We oppose a one size fits all approach in every aspect of society – education, government, communities, and business.
Our success as a community has come from championing societal issues at the individual level. We give people respect and support to find their voice because they know best what they need. What fuels our ability to have an impact externally is the diversity of perspectives from within our community. When you're in the business of bottom-up societal change, you need to make room for everyone. We are building a movement around diverse voices, perspectives, and ideas designed to include every American.
Our approach to people is unique in today's market, and we stand by our investment in our staff. We encourage intellectual curiosity, as well as principled entrepreneurship, and provide a culture of shared learning, integrity, and humility. We empower our team by setting expectations according to principles rather than specific orders or rules, which demonstrates our respect for them as individuals and professionals. We encourage transparency, constructive critiques, and creative destruction to empower our team and free them to evolve the role they play. Their growth fuels our impact as an organization in a mutually beneficial way. We strive to make room for all aspects of our team and what they have to offer. We have found this approach not only helps our employees understand the importance of their work and their role in our success; it frees them to think past the norm and innovate.
Thank you for taking the time out to speak with us. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was negative. There was clearly a profound misunderstanding in your conversation, and we'd be happy to speak in further detail on this if you'd like to get in contact. We wish you the best of luck in your search for your next role.
