I don’t usually leave interview reviews, but this one left a bad taste in my mouth. First off, the initial screening process begins with a third-party website called HireArt.com where they ask you three different open-ended questions, one of which is a video recording. I took my time and addressed all the questions specifically, with detail, and provided examples. They took an entire week and a half before getting back to me, but that’s not even the best part. I had questions regarding growth opportunities for this contract, entry-level position at ~$20.27/hr ($45k). The recruiting coordinator and I exchanged emails but her responses were at least a week in between each email. I kept getting asked if I would be comfortable with these hours and salary and received general responses about “growth opportunities”. If you’re going to list this entry-level position, at least pay a decent wage and outline the trajectory for someone who’s going to do their best work living in one of the most expensive cities in the country. I haven’t even mentioned the schedule for a typical day (4:45am - 2pm). Save your time and skills and apply elsewhere. I’m sure the company and their software is phenomenal, but it doesn’t seem like they value what their entry-level employees does for them, especially the kind of work that enables their ML software to identify and annotate their data.
