My position was for the Pathology Department. The process went smoothly in terms of the one-way interview and the three face-to-face interviews I did for the position. I was told that there would be a decision made after 2 weeks. The day after the interview, I was told that they would contact me the next day about reference checking. It never happened. After two weeks, I wrote an email about any updates and they said the hiring manager hasn't made a decision. I followed up after a month, and no response. I emailed again, but one of the other interviewers this time, and still no response. It's been more than 3 months now and I've accepted the fact that I have been ghosted. I wouldn't have been mad if they said they moved on with someone else, and I would've given the process a 5/5. Going from being friendly to ghosting makes it a negative experience.
