      I interviewed at Stanford University

      Interview

Phone interview with the direct supervisor, not HR. Since it was the supervisor of this position, they knew exactly what technical skills they were looking for and knew the language, which is great. The supervisor was very honest about the position, which included extreme long hours and labor that's both taxing physically and mentally while the job would pay not quite enough to live in that area comfortably. I apricated the honesty and was actually glad I didn't get further in the process as it would not have been a good mutual fit, and they picked up on that quickly and correctly.
