I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Stanislaus County
Interview
I applied online and was accepted to take the written exam. I passed and scheduled an interview. The process was silly. 20 minutes and one person was a timekeeper. The panel was not engaged at all. I'm sure they were tired after 4 days of these interviews. The questions weren't difficult. I feel I answered them in an above average fashion. I have an advanced degree in social services, but they didn't seem to care. I asked a friend from my current HR department to critique my answers. She said they were excellent answers. I was informed I did not pass the oral interview. I am a little older and not sure if that was why. I just felt like the whole process was very random and impersonal.
