I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stantec (Denver, CO) in Feb 2017
Interview
I first met members of the team at my school's career fair. I got to chat with them about the type of work I would be doing and the company culture. After sending a few follow up emails, I was given the opportunity to interview with the company at the building downtown. The interview took place in an empty conference room and lasted around 3 hours. During the interview, a cycle of engineers with the company would come in and talk with me asking various questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were not very technical. As I was only a sophomore in college, I was not expected to know very much. They only wanted to get to know me better as a person and see if I had the potential to work well with others.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Stantec
Interview
I had a really disappointing interview experience and came away feeling that they weren’t seriously looking to hire. Some of the questions felt off. For example, I was asked about transitioning from academia to industry even though I’ve been working in industry for over five years. The interview was supposed to last an hour but wrapped up in about 30 minutes. What bothered me most was that while I was answering a question, the senior engineer started checking his phone, which felt disrespectful and showed a lack of interest. At that point, it was pretty clear to me that the decision had likely already been made. I’ve interviewed with many companies, and this one stood out as particularly unprofessional and a waste of time. For someone with experience, interviews should focus on real skills, judgment, and hands-on experience, not shallow or irrelevant questions. It’s not only me, my friend had the same experience

Question 1
Where do you see yourself in five years? What was your favourite project?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stantec (Blue Ash, OH) in Dec 2023
Interview
Recieved a couple of calls and emails after applying. After they expressed interest, I had an online interview with a pannel, then an in-person interview. Recieved a verbal confirmation an offer was going to be given before my actual offer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stantec in Jan 2023
Interview
One guy didn't turn up, I get asked nothing relevant. Then my feedback was extremely rude and offensive, never known anything like it. I expected at the very least a second interview with both people but no. I understand that some interviews go badly, but to be offensive in feedback is unnecessary
