Interview
Was lead to the back room, where I was interviewed on a table covered in grease from the pizza they had at lunch. Lasted 10-minutes because the store was busy, and understaffed that day. The lady interviewing me also farted twice, yet tried to mask it by coughing.
I'd reccomend coming semi-professional, having resume in hand, and just have a sit down in person interview about the job prospect and what you bring to the table. Not difficult at all, the people are kind and are looking for more people to add to their work force
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Staples (New York, NY) in Sep 2024
Interview
Interviewer was relaxed and pleasant. I had already done this job and was looking to go back into it at a different location. He asked me some more specific knowledge-based questions because I already know the job. It was hard to wrangle the folks at this particular location to get an actual interview date AND start date, even though I knew they were interested. I think they are probably overworked and busy-for my last Staples role, the interview scheduling process was extremely fast. Still, once it happened, the interview itself was very smooth and easy. Even when I didn't answer every knowledge question 100% perfectly, he accepted my mostly-good answers. I also demonstrated that I liked the role and was willing to jump in and help out wherever I can.

Great interview. Pretty standard and easy. They were asking about experience, confidence in ability to take on role, and availability. I ended up accepting the position and continue working there part time.
