Interview
I came into the store to pick up an application, and was told to go online and fill one out. I filled it out and made a follow-up call a few days later. A day or so after that I came in for the interview. All three managers were supposed to be there but there were only two. I had already impressed them through phone conversations, so it was just a few formality questions. I had the job after that.
Pretty straight forward. Asks about how you carry yourself on a team. Asks you to sell a laptop. Asks about your availability. Asks about your career goals (where you see yourself in 5,10 years)
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Staples (Manassas, VA) in Mar 2014
Interview
It was a usual behavioral and STAR interview. Questions like tell me about yourself and conflict situations. Personal qualities, work experience and education. There was also a technical test o paper testing beginner/intermediate level knowledge of computer hardware and software for the easy tech position. The test was a pass/fail and was not the most important factor in the hiring decision.
