I applied online. I interviewed at Staples (Springfield, MA) in Aug 2017
Interview
Talked to GM, general questions, asked me what future plans are, why I want the job. Got a call back with an offer same day. Always good to apply before Back to School in August, they need people.
Very short, brief and simple for retail interviews. They asked various questions about me and my experience in retail and how comfortable I was working with online orders. Was shown the back room and the sales floor during said interview

Question 1
Do you know how to place online and mobile orders from the store's end?
Easy and knew of I was hired that day. Great questions to answer. Manager and environment were both engaging and kind. Would possibly work again if I was desperate for another job.
