I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Staples in Aug 2009
Interview
Initially contacted the store in regards to available positions after applying online. Was informed they were not currently hiring to check back in a few weeks. Received a call a few days later to come in for an interview. Showed up for first interview and manager who requested my presence was not working that day. Returned for another interview several days later and was told I could start the following day. Overall an unorganized start on the Sales Manager's part.
All basic questions about prior experience and wether or not I’m fit for a sales role. They mostly will hire anyone who will give them hours and open availability. Not difficult at all
Mostly in person with store managers, was asked a variety of questions in relation to the applied position. Also are given the opportunity to ask questions to get a better understanding of the position.
