Interview
Extremely negative interview experience. Contacted by the recruiter shortly after applying. Scheduled a time for (what I was told was) a 30 minute video interview with a software engineer. The recruiter emailed 30 mins before the interview to reschedule for 2 days later. When it was time for the rescheduled interview the interviewer would not turn on their camera and spoke with a heavy accent. These two factors combined made it very difficult to understand them. Interviewer asked me about my past experience and tried to “quiz” me on some of the work I had explained I completed. These questions did not make any sense as they were trying to ask me things without knowing anything about context. Interviewer proceeded to spend 20 minutes explaining some sort of game and then told me to code what they just explained. They also noted that this interview will last another hour, even though I was told it would be 30 mins.
