A couple general calls with a recruiter followed by one in person interview. The recruiter seemed really organized and put together. But the people doing the interview were a mess. The people running the company are very young but with extremely big titles. Seems like you can start working in fast food then be a Director within about 3 years. That said, very immature interview. Most of the interview was watching the panel make jokes between one another. No one had looked at my resume beforehand. They clearly had no idea who I was. Yet I was scheduled to talk to them for 3 hours. One apparently very important person didn't show up. After I got there it was apparent the job description and what I discussed with the recruiter were completely different than they thought the job was. I pointed that out and even said - "I am not a good match for what you are looking for". But they continued the interview - or should I say - they continued joking around. I have a strong background and skills they could definitely use in their organization but they are not mature enough to see beyond a job description. As far as dress code every single person I saw was wearing a very old, faded star2star shirt and kakis or jeans. It defiantly has a very customer service / blue collar vibe. Its not one of those cool, start-up technology companies at all. The culture is clearly about super casual to the point of looking unkept. Also, they made a big point of telling me that the owner of the company was very difficult to work for and even unreasonable but that working there I would have to deal with him all the time. Just really immature overall. I invested a lot of time in this interview process then weeks later I received a generic email saying they offered it to someone else. I would've expected a phone call or at least not a cut and paste email.
