I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at State Farm (Bloomington, IL)
Interview
The process consisted of an online recorded interview, a follow-up phone screen, then a final in-person interview.
The online portion was fairly straightforward and it consisted mostly of your typical interview questions ("Tell about a time when..."), and one easy coding question at the end.
The follow up phone screen wasn't much more than just confirming some of the stuff I said on the first recorded interview.
I then heard from a technical manager who extended an in-person interview. There weren't any technical questions really, just questions to see what type of experience I have (am I familiar with agile development, how do I keep up with the changing world of tech, etc.). This interview was a bit less stressful than I thought it would be going into it.
The process did not take too long overall, and everyone I spoke with was very friendly and there didn't seem to be any trick questions at all.
Multi round with technical round more so a background knowledge test on the tech stack the team uses. no coding problems. 3 interviewers in technical round, quite nice and welcoming.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at State Farm in Jun 2026
Interview
The HR sent me an email and asked if I am interested about an opening position with an invited link. I applied thourgh the link and then got the hire vue interview invitaion. It is just recording videos and sharing experiences.
Hire Vue video Interview, but they get back to you pretty quickly. They are trying to get through a lot of applicants and it is obvious in their hiring process.
