I applied for the Customer Service Operations Analyst role in London. In total I had two conversations. My interview with the hiring manager for that position lasted 30 minutes. She asked normal questions and mentioned a few times that the hiring process is very hard and long. At the end of the interview she told me she would let me know something before the end of the week. I had my interview on a Monday so I expected to know something on Friday. The next week I still did not receive any feedback so I sent a few emails but without an answer. More than two months later I received a generic email saying I am not the right fit and decided they won't move forward. I understand the market is competitive and they probably had a lot of candidates but the fact they did not respond to any email where I asked for an update after the effort I put into the process for their company is very unprofessional and is a from of disrespect. If this is the way they treat their candidates I fear this largely reflects the company culture which doesn’t look all that appealing to me anymore.
