The Procurement director was a complete joke of a leader that chose to ignore all of my supply chain, vendor management and contract experience. I laid out every single answer with real life scenarios from my background and he decided to inform me that there were too many "gaps" that brought him pause. He also declared there were no need for experience on the supply chain side of the business because it was all "handled". What was the point of the interview and the position. It really felt more like he wanted to continue to keep the barriers up just to find an excuse to hire internally. A very poor reflection of wanting to give an opportunity to an outside recruit.
