I had a very warm welcome by the recruiter I had spoken with on the phone previously. Upon speaking with the hiring manager, everything changed. The hiring manager was 15 minutes late (he was wrapping up a previous interview), I shrugged that off as it wasn’t too big of a deal. I then was hit with the most generic “Tell me about yourself”. We then went over my resume and through his body language and smug remarks, I was clearly being judged. I answered his questions only to be told that he felt I wasn’t entirely telling the truth (“I feel there is more behind it”) after that, we continued to go over previous experience. Lastly, I was hit the most unprofessional experience. The hiring manager decided to cut the interview short and tell me he was “going with his gut” and he walked me out. Never in my interviewing experiences has that ever happened.
