I got a call from a hiring manager a couple of days after I applied, and had an informative phone interview which, though I hardly got to ask any questions myself, led to an in-person interview. I arrived to the interview 15 minutes early, and was given an application that took a half hour to fill out, and was mainly just me rewriting my resume and references, which I had brought with me. When I finally got to the interview with the hiring manager, I was given the exact same information from my previous phone interview. I had a solid amount of questions prepared, and whenever I would ask one of them, The hiring manager would respond with, "that's something that we would get into during the second round of interviews." After I was talked at for about 20 minutes and had the majority of my questions shot down, the interview was over. I sent a thank you email, and didn't hear back. I checked in a couple of weeks later, as I still hadn't heard anything, and again got no response. This interview was a waste of my time, and I wasn't given the respect of a response. A month later, I got a position at a company I love, and I consider not working for SEP as a dodged bullet.
