I applied online. I interviewed at Strayer University
Interview
At the beginning, you have a max of 10 minutes to do an introduction. After that, I had to teach a 15-20 minute lesson to a 4 person interview panel. After teaching the lesson, I was asked some of the typical interview questions. It has been about a month since my interview and still haven't heard anything.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Strayer University (Baltimore, MD) in May 2012
Interview
Travel required; series of panel interviews with predetermined questions. It was obvious that the interviewers were neither trainer nor skilled in interviewing. Additionally, I sat in a chair in the middle of the room and the interviewers were lined up behind desks across from me. Typical of a "stress" interview. After accepting the job, I realized that this reflected the university's culture -- very confrontational and hierarchical.

Question 1
Why do you want to be a university dean? (NOTE: I was NOT applying for a dean position.)
