Initial phone screen with the corporate recruiter. Then a Zoom interview with the hiring manager to discuss the role, background, fit, etc. At this point I provided writing and project samples and moved to the next round. The next round was 4 non-sequential Zoom interviews with individual team members and stakeholders spread out across 3 days. I was told the hiring manager was finishing up interviews and wanted to move quickly. I heard nothing for two weeks, so I emailed the corporate recruiter and asked for an update. No response. A few days later I emailed the hiring manager directly, who (to her credit) responded immediately that they had moved ahead with another candidate. The people I interviewed with were engaging and professional, but it's not OK to ghost candidates who have put hours of time into the process. So disrespectful and unprofessional.
