My recruiter contacted me 30 minutes before the interview to say they could not make it. They specifically said they would reschedule, then ghosted.
Some would say it is not professional to cancel an interview with such short notice, but in my opinion emergencies happen and are out of one's control.
The thing that made me write this review is that they compounded this by failing to follow up as promised... it does not feel good to be told something, then have the person just ignore you.
It sounds like a small thing, but honestly it was the clearest and most easy to articulate example of the "nice, but not kind" culture at Stripe that made me pretty uneasy in my limited interactions with the company.
