I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2019
Interview
One phone call with the Recruiter. Second phone call with the International Finance Manager. This was followed by a 3-4 pages written project taking about 3 hours. Then 3 and half hours onsite with 5 interviews. Though 1 interviewer did not turn up and on a video call the camera was not working.
The Interviews onsite and via video were not structured apart from one person.
When I was told no by Stripe the reason I was given that I didn't have experience working for a company that didn't have establish processes. Though I worked for 3 years in a role where I created Billing processes from scratch and developed ad hoc solutions. I feel that the interview process failed to get that information if it was the key skill the company was looking for.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (New York, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
The interview process while thorough was lengthy and time consuming. I had a recruiter interview, a hiring manager interview, a written project, and an interview loop with seven people that happened over two days due to time zone difference. The interview loop process could have been tighter, a couple of the people who were not on the team I was applying for did not seem to be so engaged in our conversations. In the end I got an email saying I wasn’t a strong fit which seems a bit disingenuous after 6 weeks of my time and effort put in. Not a strong fit is something said after one or two interviews.
