The initial interview process with Stripe was very well communicated. I had several phone interviews before being flown out to Seattle for an in-person interview.
The in-person experience was a bit uncomfortable. When I arrived at the Stripe office, I was immediately taken to lunch in the onsite cafeteria (they have great food). Unfortunately, we were rushing to eat while talking and ran out of time. It was a bit stressful, and I was late to my next session. I was at the office for about 3 hours and had no opportunity for a short break in between interviews (including a bathroom break), and each session ran into the next. I didn't get a tour of the office, and the majority of my interviews were virtual. It was a strange experience that left me feeling unimpressed.
In addition to the 8+ individuals I met with, I was asked to create a presentation and walk through it during the interviews. I spent a lot of time and effort on this interview and flew to Seattle using vacation time. When I received an email telling me they didn't want to move forward, I was disappointed it wasn't a phone call given the effort I had put in. I asked for feedback and never received anything.
