Applied without a referral. Got a recruiter screening, an interview/screen with a member of the team, an interview with the hiring manager, and then a written assignment in which I had to develop a go-to-market strategy for Stripe.
After the written assignment, I did what would have been the onsite over Zoom. This consisted of six interviews and a debrief (4 hours). It began with another interview with the hiring manager, followed by a behavioral interview with another sales team member, a review of my written project, a case interview, a technical interview (high level), a behavioral interview focused on fit for the Stripe culture, and a debrief with my recruiter.
After this round, I had one more interview about a week later with a senior executive to sign off on my hiring.
Full process took about 7 weeks. It was the most thoughtful interview process I had been through. No trick questions, but thought provoking ones. The fact that you meet with people from various teams, gives you a sense of the culture at Stripe. My recruiters also did a nice job of letting me know what to prepare for.
Although it's a pretty time consuming process, the talent and character of the people I met really stood out and gave me confidence that I was joining a star studded team. If you're an experienced sales person, know your stuff, and aren't a jerk, you'll probably do just fine and enjoy the process.
