I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
A difficult, yet somehow enjoyable process : ) Everyone I met was nice and the recruiter was very helpful with prep and keeping me informed along the way. I didn't get an offer, but had a useful feedback call with the recruiter who told me why.
I applied online and went through a number of stages: phone screen with recruiter, phone screen with hiring manager, 1 wk to do a strategic sales project and submit it, final round of interviews (5 interviews of about 30-45mins each, spread over 2 days).
There's a case study part of the final round of interviews, but it's pretty light, not as difficult as an MBA case study. They just want to understand how you think through problems and what information you pull in to solve problems. They want to see how you prioritise your time and deal with ambiguity, so prep for that.
The sales team is seeing explosive growth, so I think they're looking for people who have experience dealing with big books of small business. I got the sense that while it is a great place to grow and learn, there is a lot of stress and pressure that goes along with that - which is honestly the case at all of the FAANGs.
Overall, a positive experience and I'm glad that it got me up to speed for the rest of my upcoming interviews.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
What is your sales process and how do you forecast sales? How do you prioritse your time?
Hypothetical: Let's say that we're working at a ride sharing app and we're entering a new market. Lay out your plan and how you would go about measuring success.
Normal process of a few rounds of speaking to different people. What sets them aside is that they “ghost” you when it’s all over with. You go to lengths to prepare for these interviews to be met with silence by the Recruitor. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are my strengths/weaknesses? Why I had gaps? My sales experience?
Recruiter screen super positive, but peer account executive interview was surprising. When you hear the product feedback loop is largely informal/personal and relationship based with product managers. I’m curious how the team plans to scale those insights as the head-count grows. It might be the Account Executive wasn't aligned on Stripe.

Question 1
How you take into account users when making improvements to a product?
6 interviews in total, asking similar questions in each one. Why do you want to work here with a mix of behavioural and competency style questions with the hiring manager, other manager .
