I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Initial screen with recruiter (30-minutes)
45-minute conversations with 4 different interviewers
Stripe has a very structured interview process and you are given a prep call prior to the interview which is helpful, however, the recruiters on the team did not seem organized at all.
My recruiter was consistently late to every interaction I've had with them (initial screen, even during the interview process), and seemed disengaged and inauthentic throughout the entire process.
Some of the interviewers were also disengaged and zoned out during the interview process, which made me feel uncomfortable.
Not sure if it's because many of the folks on the current recruiting team are new as they are hiring rapidly, but I felt that the team itself did not have any cohesion and did not feel unified as a team.
It's a shame because the company seems to be doing quite well and seems like it might be an awesome company to work for, but the recruiting team doesn't seem to have it together.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you prioritize, especially when you're pulled in multiple directions?
The overall process was awful. I thought things were off to a great start, but slowly Stripe's reputation came through. For one, I didn't have on sole recruiter who I could ask questions or get a timeline from. Two, the panel interview felt very "gotcha" and if you didn't answer exactly the way that the interviewer wanted you to, it immediately dinged you. It was incredibly cold and odd. Lastly, I noticed that the department wasn't very diverse and felt like the "cool kids" table at a high school. So, if you talked and looked like them, you'll get in - if not, good luck.

Question 1
One of the questions was around how I handled priorities, since they're really keen on that.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Stripe
Interview
I only had a phone screening, but was told the full process would include 5 interviews, which I find way too much. I was also told that the length of the process could reach up to 6 months.

Question 1
Types of roles I recruited for, involvement in process management initiatives
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe in Oct 2023
Interview
My experience was rather poor. Each step of the way, the recruiters and managers were late by 5 minutes or more - including the initial interview in which the recruiting manager did not even show up and had to reschedule.
There were three, 30 minute interviews so when the interviewers show up late, it doesn't exactly give you enough time to chat about your experience. Also speaks to an unorganized internal process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were based around their internal organizational principles but there was no prep time, no explanation on what to expect, etc.
