I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (New York, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
good experience. One phone screen. One VO and one HM. there are three 1-hr interviews in VO: bug squash, coding, and api (sending http requests). Overall it is totally the same as what you can find on the internet. Different coding languages may lead to different questions.
Solved a DSA problem, followed by a system design interview focused on designing a UPI service, covering transaction flow, scalability, security, failure handling, and consistency in a high-throughput real-time payment system.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A DSA problem was asked to evaluate problem-solving skills, algorithmic thinking, and efficiency, focusing on choosing optimal data structures and handling edge cases within given constraints.
Aired me after the first interview, which was a behavioural with a few technical questions, even though it went well and they said they'll email me back. No response and removed the listing a few days later.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here?
What experience do you have with payment processing?
First there was an online assessment that was focused on a real world stripe related problem. It was a three part problem each building upon the previous part. Generally, It involved parsing some string inputs and then doing some operations on it.
Next was a Team Screen Round which involved basic informal discussion along with a similar kind of problem like the OA.
Then there was a technical round and bug bash round which were completely technical we had to code up solution to some real world related problem again not that heavy on DSA concepts. Finally, there was HR round which asked general HR related questions.
