I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (South San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview process is very standard. I went through a 30 minute recruiter screening over the phone, a 30 minute hiring manager interview via Zoom, and a take home assignment before they passed on me. The recruiter screening was standard tell me about yourself, HR logistics, questions. The hiring manager was primarily focused on people management questions around managing employee conflicts, internal conflicts across multiple teams, etc. The take home assignment involved 2-3 sections around cross-team leadership and collaboration. Unfortunately, they passed after I completed the assignment.

Question 1
How do you handle employee conflicts with other teams?
This company had the audacity to ask me to write a 2-5 page paper after the third interview. After I submitted it, I was rejected 8 minutes later! Its not even possible that the hiring manager read it in that time. The company informed me "sorry we had a late stage candidate" They didn't even bother to spare me the days work of writing that paper when they knew they were going to offer to someone else. What a ridiculous request of potential employees to begin with. Hands down the most unprofessional company I have ever interviewed with. STAY AWAY
