First a take home and then two person interview. Basic questions to get background and see culture fit. They'll also ask questions to see if you'll talk their head off about something you're "passionate" about and then judge your merit based on that.

Question 1
Why did you choose xyz language for the take-home assesment?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at StrongMind in Aug 2021
Interview
I experienced a pain-free initial interview with 3 members of the StrongMind team. Everyone was courteous and the interview was focused primarily on sharing details regarding the team and getting to assess the overall culture fit. My interviewers expressed that the company is looking to get everyone back in the office and remote work opportunities are not available, which is definitely unfortunate for a technical role :(
Unfortunately, after the interview, I received no inquiry for a follow-up interview or an email notifying me that I was no longer being considered for a position. But! From what I could tell, StrongMind has a great and interesting engineering team! I imagine this is a great place to be for the right candidate.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at StrongMind (Chandler, AZ) in Feb 2025
Interview
1. After an initial screening call, I was given a full-stack exercise to complete at home and deploy online
2. Had another screening call with several engineers that focused more on behavioral questions and how I work in a team environment
3. Final stage was an in-person interview that focused on the previous take-home exercise and was a pair programming exercise with several engineers.
The interview process was great and I received a verbal offer but it got rescinded due to issues that suddenly came up with StrongMind's online school, Primavera Online, potentially shutting down.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at StrongMind
Interview
1) Applied online on Linkedin 2) 30 min interview with recruiter 3) Take home assessment (no timer; expect to use github and deploy it online with any free hosting website service) 4) 3 hour in-person interview with two members, pair programming on any feature you want to add to the take home program. The interview process was enjoyable and the atmosphere shows they have fun there. Recruiters were nice and explained how they are into training new people. I felt like it would be a good place to work. Unfortunately I didn't meet their expectations.
