Information session is basically an initial interview, even though you don't know it. The second round interview is key to be strong in. Focus on work ethic, commitment, interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurship. Make eye contact, don't be weird. After that interview you will be told to call 2 other past managers and ask them questions. THIS does matter. Ask a lot of questions. If you don't call those manager, you probably won't get hired to be honest. I had some friends that didn't call the people and they didn't get the job. You'll hear back in about a week from the second interview. Just work hard, show it, and you'll get the job. But to be honest, what they tell you in the interview is true. This position is not easy, and the average college student cannot do it, so if you aren't up for the challenge, do not take it.
