I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
First they brought four of us in to "roleplay" as a teacher disciplining a student. They were basically letting us know how strict they expected us to be and seeing if we could handle that kind of authority. Then they wanted us to analyze a poem, and then they separated us for one-on-one interviews. I wasn't a very good fit but the interviewers were nice enough.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools in Oct 2025
Interview
Very militant, very disengaging, they hung up the call at the start and came back after 5 minutes. They ask you a lot about your educational upbrining, your view of discipline in the classroom.
It was a group interview and had to demo. The questions were average and they were friendly. The principal was also very welcoming . Would consider applying again just in a different location closer to home
Behavioral questions - This interview round assesses your soft skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit.
Conducted online video interview, it includes behavioral questions to evaluate past experiences, decision-making, teamwork, and adaptability in workplace scenarios.
