Lengthy, drawn out process. Did not hear back about initial application process for two months. Phone screen after 3 months followed by a performance task then a remote interview with two supervisors. The whole thing screamed "charter school". The interviewers were young and seemed inexperienced. It was clear they were running through a laundry list of questions and instead of having a conversation with me, that they were more concerned about the time each Q&A took, and were "skimming" to analyze me and my answers. The whole thing was cold and impersonal. There was very little time left for the many questions I had about being part of the team there.. including resources, which they basically let me know they had little of. By the end of the final round interview I was turned off to working there at all.

The "interview" here was virtually non-existent. I was contracted through SwingSubs to substitute a class. It was my first time teaching in a classroom. The head of the Expeditions program at the time came in and watched me sub for about 30 minutes throughout the day. After students were dismissed and I was cleaning up the classroom, he came in and offered me a full-time position.
