I found the job posting online and went ahead and applied. Within a few hours, I received an email asking if I was up for the challenge for that role. Of course I responded and got the directions after that. The process was long. It actually took me a few days to complete it because it was so in-depth and you needed time to think about your answers and record yourself doing a tutorial. After I submitted my answers, I received a generic reply that "the team has decided not to proceed with your candidacy for the current opening at Sumo." It was kind of frustrating to spend that long on something and then to get that generic reply back within the hour. They couldn't have reviewed my answers that quickly to give me the automatic boot. I feel as if they should cut down on that challenge process and maybe break it up to where you only do the first page first, then if you "pass" that round, do the next page, and so on. But 5 pages worth of videos & questions, only to get a generic 'thanks but no thanks' email, was pretty upsetting. Just my 2 cents.
Also, they expected you to know the product as if you already worked there in order to answer all of the questions. Isn't that what training is for?
