Lots of questions. They were looking for a student still in college to work part time which I was and then they didn’t like the fact that I had class for one full day and couldn’t work that day.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SunTrust (Springfield, TN) in Jun 2018
Interview
I applied online, but it took two weeks for a recruiter from Wisconsin (I'm in Tennessee) to call me back and say they were interested in me. I was told to also apply for another branch while being told to go ahead and take a recorded phone interview. If they liked that interview, they would get back in touch with me for an on-site interview.
I waited another week, after already waiting two weeks, for them to call me back about the on-site interview. The one I was told to apply for had already been filled, and the recruiter appeared to have forgotten that she suggested I do so. I scheduled the interview for that Friday (the call was on a Monday), so another week of waiting.
I go into the on-site interview with a woman I know from my family banking for years with her. She's kind and attentive, doing her best to keep me from feeling anxious and making me feel like a part of that SunTrust's family already. She told me I was the first to be interviewed, but she felt good about me. She told me it would be, yet again, another week or two before I heard anything.
Two weeks later, I'm sent a lousy e-mail stating that the job I had applied for had been CANCELLED, and to continue trying for other positions with the company. Don't get me wrong, the site I interviewed at has nothing to do with this poor treatment of a possible employee, but SunTrust as a whole needs to get their priorities straight. Making someone wait at least a month and a half before in the end being told they're not needed is horrible business ethic and has completely turned me off SunTrust as a whole.

I applied online. I interviewed at SunTrust (Savannah, GA) in Nov 2018
Interview
The process was very simple. You show up and wait for them to come out and you are interviewed by 1-2 members of the bank. They each ask you a few questions and then ask if you have any questions.
