I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Suncor Energy (Montreal, QC) in Jan 2018
Interview
Applied online through their portal. Received an email regarding a HireVue interview. There were about 7 questions, all of them were behavioural (3 were video recordings, rest were written). As long as you are confident and can express yourself well you should be fine. Also did an online assessment that tested reading and logic that took about an hour.
3 weeks later after the initial recorded interview, got an email for a live video interview through HireVue with the hiring manager and two engineers. Everyone was very friendly and respectful in getting to know the interviewee and also explaining the position and culture of Suncor.
Received a call from the hiring manager 2 hours after to tell me that I have gotten the position. Now they just need to do the background check and everything is good to go

Question 1

How did you resolve a conflict between two members in the team?
How would you size a conductor?
What does power factor mean in the practical sense?
Standard online pre-recorded interview with multiple attempts followed by an online teams interview with the hiring managers, in my case 3 managers from different electrical departments. If anything the process seemed almost too rehearsed.
